Consultations & Coffee
I understand that when you first set out to find a photographer making the right choice can be quite overwhelming, if you have already managed to identify the style of photography you connect with then thats a great place to start! Now that you know what your looking for I beleive its key to find a photographer you connect with, this is one of the most significant days of your life right? Its only right you feel comfortable so the best place to start is with a telephone call or a face-to-face consultation, there's not many better ways to get to know someone than over coffee and a slice of cake :)
Over the years I have developed a style of photography that consistently delivers stunning imagery. I use super quick lenses and Nikon Cameras that enable me to shoot in low light and where possible without the use of flash. My equipment is a huge investment and like all good tools of the trade allows me to do the best job possible. My style is a mix of modern reportage photography with a creative twist! I specialise in discreetly capturing the natural moments as the day unfolds detailing all the little touches such as your perfume and venue décor, to top things off I love to add a creative approach to composed group and romantic photos so you can be sure of unique imagery. Rather than posing couples for photos, I much prefer a more natural approach; I will give you gentle direction and make it fun, which will help you feel comfortable in front of the camera and be yourself.
The first meeting
Establishing a relationship, this is a key ingredient so that you feel comfortable in front of the lens and at ease on the big day for those natural shots. We will arrange a meeting so you will be able to look at samples of work, and discuss your photography requirements. Nothing is to ‘out there’ so come armed with some ideas of your own.
I love to get to know couples, to build on that important relationship and hear all about the plans for the big day this is a must and begins at our first meeting. Over coffeeI will show you examples of work and use these to best explainhow i work on the big day, you can ask questions and raise any concerns you might have, especially if your worried about how to be in front of the camera.
If you decide that I’m the right photographer for you for the job, I will require a signed contract as well as a £400 deposit. As soon as I have received these, my services will be secured for your wedding date. The final balance of your payment will be due 14 days before your wedding day.
What happens next?
I will send you a booking form which covers all the important stuff such as contact details, addresses and timings on the day. We will use this information at our consultation spending some time putting together a detailed agenda, this takes about 90 minutes. The agenda will cover any requested photographs taking into account any special requirements and key parts of the day including timings, so nothing is left to chance. I will then send you a copy electronically; I always think it’s a good idea to pass this on to the venue co-ordinator and other suppliers such as the Toast master and DJ to give them a good idea about the timings throughout the day.
I will also visit the venue and if possible meet the co-ordinator; this enables me to assess the best places for your photos and cover some of the smaller details such as parking and the logistics of the assignment.
A few days before the wedding date I will have you scheduled in for a quick call, just to check in and ensure everything is as we planned at our consultation.
After the wedding
After editing your images I will upload them to a password protected gallery and send you a password by email so you can log on and view your images and start to design your album if you have chosen one. From there you can share your password with your family and friends where they can purchase prints and keepsakes if they wish.
If you have purchased an album you will be able to select your images using the favourites selection process, once these have been submitted your album can take approximately 6 weeks to be made. All album designs are dealt with on a first come first served basis so lead times may vary.
Staying in touch
It’s always a bit of shame when it comes to saying goodbye so its a real pleasure to hand you your wedding package in person if distance and workload don’t get in the way. Alternatively staying in touch via my Blog, Facebook and Twitter is always nice; I love to hear all about your next big adventure together.
