Mr & Mrs Silvester

The Day of the wedding
Amy and Billy booked me after attending the Detling showground wedding fair last year and had opted for an inside ceremony at The Old Kent Barn.
The weather was cold with breaks of sunshine, a typical British spring for most of us based in Kent. I have to say this venue always looks immaculate and is mirrored by the way it’s run on the day by Kylie and the team here. It was a bit to early in the year to exchange vows under the outside marque but I was sure to use this in some of the photos later.
After my introductions to Amy and the girls in the bridal suite it was time to capture the dress, shoes and accessories that Amy would be putting on later, while I got to work on the finer details the girls were being looked after by Kelli Waldock who by the way rocks! If you’re looking for hair and makeup on your wedding day then I highly recommend her services.
The barn had also been dressed ready for the wedding breakfast with lots of effort having been put into the flowers, table favors and table plan not to mention the wedding cake made by a member of the family.
Guests had started to arrive shortly after Billy and the ushers who were busy with the registrar going over the finer details for the ceremony. We managed to grab a few minutes to take some photos in the gardens before I heading up to the girls to catch Dads reaction to Amy in her wedding dress. The ceremony was soon underway and after the vows said, the rings exchanged and a kiss to seal the deal Amy and Billy where now officially Mr & Mrs Silvester.
Confetti and drinks lead proceedings before getting family and friends together for the group photos, once we had pinned these down it was time to head off for some relaxed portraits and creative romantic shots of just the guys on their own.
Also booked at the Detling wedding show was Spencer Wood magic to bring some great entertainment to the evening wedding reception. Spencer is a lovely guy’s and hands down the best magician I have worked alongside. The magic made for some great photos and had guests stunned as table forks were bent out of shape without any physical pressure, it was soon time for the wedding breakfast and heartfelt speeches as well as the cutting of the impressive 3-tier cake to close the formalities of the day.
It was now time for my favorite part of the wedding day as Amy and Billy made their way to the dance floor for the 1st dance and from here guests joined in to dance the night away which a few drinks for good measure. Included in the package were a handful of my twilight romantics so as the guys enjoyed themselves inside the main barn I set up some shots to finish off their wedding day coverage with some really stunning night shots.
Here are a few shots from the big day that best tell Mr and Mrs Silvesters story. Feel free to comment and share and get in touch if your looking for a wedding photographer at the Old Kent Barn.
