Tina & Darren had decided that they were going to tie the knot at the same place they went out for dinner when they first met. I loved the idea of going back to their roots and couldn’t wait to see these guys exchange vows at the Azur in Hastings.
The day started with heavy grey cloud and some potential for rain so the outside terrace ceremony was changed to give them some cover from the elements. When I arrived the staff at the Azur were busy dressing tables and arranging the chairs in the main restaurant for the wedding ceremony.
It wasn’t long before Darren arrived with his best man and hit the bar for a cheeky drink. I shot from range giving the guys plenty of space capturing the natural laughter and commotion as guests started to arrive for the day ahead.
Tina was to arrive by traditional Black cab but with a twist! As her taxi made its way down to the long drive to the main lobby the sun had decided to show us some mercy and shine on the occasion. Tina and little Charlie came down the isle shortly after the bridesmaids and Darren’s face was priceless when he had seen them take that short walk to greet him.
The ceremony was gorgeous with Charlie fascinated by the ring exchange! After the vows were made and the register signed the new Mr and Mrs Medcraft made their way out on to the terrace to celebrate with closest family and friends.
I waited for the crowd to settle down before rounding up the guests for some group photos which we did in front of the peddled beach and stunning sea view. The guys were on a tight schedule so I then wasted no time in taking Tina and Darren along the beach to shoot some romantic photos.
Because this was a ceremony only booking I wrapped up with a couple more shots in front of the vibrant coloured beach huts and then made my way back home as the guys got stuck into the wedding breakfast and toasts.
Here’s a handful of my faves that tell Tina & Darren’s story.
