Shelley & Ben had chosen to take their vows in front of closest family and friends at the stunning Bradbourne House in West Malling, Kent.
I absolutely love this venue and could shoot here a hundred times over and not get tired of it! This was an absolute beaut of a wedding, which boasted the very finest taste from the Catering to the Magician, to yours truly :) Shelley & Ben are just the nicest couple and were an absolute pleasure to shoot for, we had a total blast on the big day and I think its only right I tell you all about it.
Shelley and the girls booked into the Hilton Hotel in Maidstone the night before the big day for the hair and makeup. After my arrival and some short introductions I set up my cameras and got to work. Shelley had booked Lisa Kennedy for the everyone’s hair and Keely Marie for the Makeup, as you will see from the photos, they both did an amazing job getting the girls prepared for the day ahead. The morning was calm, relaxed and perfectly timed, which gave me plenty of time to grab some shots with Shelley before leaving for Bradbourne House.
As I came down the winding driveway, the venue looked incredible nestled amongst the tall trees and manicured gardens. Upon arrival I was greeted by Michael, the resident Toast Master who I have to say is a true professional and top guy. Guests had started to arrive and the hustle and bustle of people being seated could only mean that the Ceremony was only minutes away.
Shelley and the girls arrived in style in a gorgeous vintage Jaguar and after all the guests were seated the bridesmaids started to make their way down the isle closely followed by Shelley and her Father. Bens face was a picture! these guys were so in love and you could see it in their faces as they laid eyes on each other for the first time in the isle.
The ceremony was full of laughter and emotion as the poems were read and the vows exchanged, after signing the register and some brief photos we made our way outside for Confetti and group shots. I make every effort to produce amazing unique photos for my clients and make sure we have fun while we do it. Every Photographer has a unique style and I just love to create an edgy feel to my photos. As you will see from the snaps below we made great use of the grounds for some awesome shots.
It was a great crowd and it wasn’t long before I took the guys away for some Romantic shots. Shelley and Ben were real troopers and up for anything so this allowed me to get creative and deliver some unique photos in and around the grounds of the House.
The evening was as perfect as the day with the Speeches, Cake cutting and a memorable 1st Dance to mark the start of the evening festivities as the guests began to arrive to celebrate with Shelley & Ben. The guys had booked Nick from Rewind Wedding & Party D`j’s who I have to say played a great set with an impressive setup to match, well worth an enquiry if you are looking for a decent DJ for an upcoming event.
We still managed to make some time to shoot a few cheeky shots at sunset as the light started to drop, it was only at this point I realized Ben was a keen fisherman which soon spurred us into fishing talk in-between photos :) I had a total blast at this one and can’t thank Shelley & Ben enough for choosing me to be part of their special day. Here’s to a wonderful future guys :)
Here’s a handful of my favorite shots that tell Shelly & Ben’s story at Bradbourne House.
