Kellie & Paul had chosen to tie the knot at the Knowle Country House in Higham in the spring, now that they had chosen the venue the next thing on the list was a wedding photographer.
Kellie got in touch and we arranged to meet for a coffee to discuss photography and so I could hear all about the plans for the big day. My jaw was aching from the laughter and after a couple of lattes we had an agenda in place for the photography. These guys were very relaxed and great fun so I knew this was going to be a blast!
The 25th April started perfectly with the sun starting to show its face. The Knowle looked amazing as it always does with perfectly manicured lawns and the spring flowers on full show. After a quick introduction to Kellie and the girls I made a start with Kellie’s dress, which was simply stunning! Lace finish from top to bottom with a vale to really polish things off. Kellie had booked Hayley Wood to do the hair and make up, Hayley is so lovely and very talented so if your looking for a make up artist her details are on my recommended suppliers list. We had a really good laugh while I covered bridal prep, after Hayley had done her job the girls looked incredible! Dresses were soon on and the increase in guests coming to say hi was a sure sign that the wedding was in full swing.
The guys chose to get married outside under the Gazebo, the seating was near full as Paul made his way to the end of the isle. Paul looked very relaxed and super sharp in his suit as he waited to see Kellie for the fist time. The Sun graced the ceremony just as the Bridesmaids individually made there way down the isle, soon followed by Kellie and her dad. Paul’s face was priceless when he laid eyes on his wife to be, Kellie and Paul couldn’t stop smiling at each other as they held hands while the ceremony got underway.
After the ring exchanging and the vows made and even a few tears from both dads the guys came down the isle to a confetti shower thrown by their guests! I gave the guys 10 mins to grab a drink and enjoy the congratulations from their close family and friends before I intervened for group shots and romantic photos.
After some photos I took the guys off for some shots on their own within the gardens of the venue.
The day flowed perfectly with great speeches, cake cutting and plenty of time to enjoy to grounds of the venue for a catch up with friends.
One of my favourite parts of the day is the first dance and with Damien from Sound Waves hired to DJ for the evening reception it was going to be pretty cool! Kellie and Paul looked so in love as they danced the first one of the night on there own joined by there guests as the night started to get well underway. I made sure we had the chance to grab a cheeky couple of shots before the end of the night and then left the guys to enjoy the rest of another perfect wedding.
I work to a simple equation when I shoot weddings.......Clients who feel comfortable especially when I have a big camera in my hands mixed with a whole lot of fun and professionalism = Awesome photos!
Here’s a handful of my favorite shots from Kellie & Paul’s Wedding at the Knowle Country House.
