Dan & deb booked me last year and have been at every wedding I’ve shot with the LCI church group. This church has welcomed me like family and I have to say it’s more like seeing old friends than working when I shoot for them.
When the guys booked me I couldn’t wait to capture their wedding day for them and I had the painstaking wait of nearly a whole year till the big day came around! The day started with some groom prep for dan at there home in woolwich, most of the guys were already there and it wasn’t long before fifa 16 was turned on and the banter began! Dan had his shower and then started to get ready, the choice of suit was black dinner trousers with a white jacket and matching red waist band and bow tie. Dan looked sharp and the other guys were in purple suits which really complimented his choice of suit, to be fair these guys always know how to pull off a bit of swagger and today was no exception!
Dan had a great selection of bits to photograph such as aftershave, matching bow tie and waist band as well as new shoes and a watch, after shooting the finer details it was on to dan getting ready and we finished with a group shot of the front before leaving to get to debs hotel.
When I got to deb I made my introductions and got stuck in to shooting the hair and makeup. Deb was relaxed and the girls really looked after things while she got ready for church. After shooting the dress and shoes we still managed to find time to do a few nice shots before we left for the church service.
As always it was a lovely welcome when I got to the church and deb wasn’t far behind me so it was pretty fast paced getting everything ready for the ceremony. The wedding ceremony was perfect and full of prayer, blessings and plenty of love! It was now time to make it official with that all important kiss and dan took his time lifting debs veil before sealing the deal :)
We soon moved onto group shots at the alter of the church which has some great steps and usually enough to cater for the guests, on this occasion the church was full to the brim and I only just managed to get everyone in the shot! We nearly blew the roof off the church with a huge cheer as I got things underway with a signature kissing shot. We breezed through the rest of the groups and finished off with the confetti line outside before the ne Mr & Mrs Brempong headed over to greenwich park for some romantic photographs.
London traffic was heavy but he stuck with it and boy was it worth it! I ran through some nice shots with deb & dan and thought it would be a great idea to use the stunning London skyline as the grand finale of photos. These came out a treat and I’m sure will give the guys some amazing memories for the rest of their lives.
The evening reception was headed up by ikem on the mc and always he did a great job keeping everything in order with the help of the church volunteers, the evening was now in full swing and full of heartfelt speeches, traditional food and plenty of dancing, these guys really now how to throw a party and this always makes for some great photos. The 1st dance was really special, seeing these guys share such a special moment was a real privilege and some of the shots are truly epic!
The guys changed into traditional dress and officially opened the dance floor for the rest of the evening celebrations with some great music and dancing.
A huge congratulations to the newest married couple in town! These guys are pretty much family to me and I wish them the very best future together as husband and wife.
