On a crisp, wintery day in December I arrived at the Dartford Hilton to shoot the last wedding of 2014 for Charlotte and Dan. When we met at our consultation in the summer Charlotte and Dan were super organised. The theme sounded amazing, with cool wintery colours, fairy lights and lots of sparkle. We sat over a coffee put together a detailed agenda, we knew exactly how the day was planned.
We have the pleasure of working with some of the best suppliers in this industry and today was brimming with talent! Ryan Woodard from talking fly had been hired for the videography, Vicky Costin from Floral Impact for the Floristry,Zoe King from L&Z events for the venue decor.
On the morning of the wedding, I arrived and got straight to work. Charlotte was having her hair done by Vicki Lord and had her makeup done by Nicola Peen, both these girls are super talented and get booked fast so worth booking early to avoid disappointment. While the girls worked there magic I made use of the huge suite and did some detailed shots. The sweet little bridesmaids dresses all hanging by the window and the little ballerina shoes all waiting to be worn, nailing some cracking shots!
Dan along with his 3 ushers and the best man, were down in the lobby, so as Charlotte was in her final stages, I grabbed the guys and did some group shots. The lobby of the Hilton had a huge Christmas tree that sat right in the middle so we grab some comfy chairs and did some relaxed shots.
As the guests arrived, we made our way in to the ceremony room and took position. Dans face as Charlotte came down the isle was priceless and when you see the photos you will understand why. Charlotte looked stunning!
Once the ceremony was done we gathered everyone to the patio area for some group shots, now at 3 degrees this was a challenge! but everyone braved the cold with teeth chattering so we could get the shots Charlotte and Dan had requested.
The party had now started….. we had surprise after surprise, from singing waiters, to an appearance by Elsa from frozen these guys threw an amazing reception. As their guests get involved with the dancing and the photobooth, we snuck out for another set of photos and got as creative as we could and the results, well take a look for yourself!
An awesome day, with a cracking couple!
